Business Income Made Easy- 3 hr. General P&C Credit

This course helps agents learn Business Income coverage, how to calculate proper limits, Coinsurance principles, and how to help their insureds through claim situations. The class will give agents ways to have real conversations with their customers to help them understand Business Income coverage better.

Flood Insurance – Navigating the NFIP- 3 hr. Flood Credit

This course will help agents understand Flood as a peril, learn the beginnings of the NFIP, what coverages are available in the NFIP, who is eligible for the program, what affects the rating, and tips on how claims are handled. Agents will also hear about alternative options to the NFIP to round out how to assist insureds to place flood policies.

FAQs

The Department of Insurance requires active participation from all attendees in order to obtain
online CE credit. Each state has varying requirements. JSA requires each participant to answer
poll questions throughout the course to verify they are active participants. After the completion
of the course, JSA will review each participants active participation to confirm they met the
state requirements. As long as the participant meets the requirements, JSA will file the CE
hours.

The Department of Insurance requires all participants are signed on at the start of class. If you
are not signed on by the time the course starts, the DOI may choose not to give you credit. They
also require participants to stay signed in for the entire duration of the class. This is achieved by
the participants answering the poll questions that appear throughout the course.

Yes, there will be two ten-minute breaks during the class near the end of each hour of
instruction. The video feed will provide a countdown clock to let you know when the break is
over. Do not be late for returning to the class.

No, all participant’s microphones and cameras will be muted and off during the class.

After the completion of the class, JSA will review the Attendance Verification Polls to ensure
each participant met the State requirements. Participants will receive an email at the
completion of the class thanking them for their participation. A second email will be sent
verifying CE hours have been filed on your behalf by JSA.

If a participant does not meet the state requirements, we will send an email advising the
participant CE hours were not filed for them.

We will file your CE credit hours the day following the successful completion of the class. Please
allow up to 2 weeks for them to show up in your account.

Yes. On the classroom page, there will be a button to the right of the viewing screen that is
labeled “Course Materials” where you can download the slide deck. Virginia agents can also
retrieve the Virginia Insurance Continuing Education Course Introduction Statement.

No. The class is for individual viewing only. Group viewing is prohibited.
