DeBord’s SPECIAL CHILI
JSA holds a “Souper Bowl” chili cook off every year around Super Bowl time. We use it as an internal fundraiser and a contest to see who is the best chili cook at our Boone location. Souper Bowl 2020 earned $360 for our community outreach fund.
This year’s winning chili was cooked up by Building Maintenence Staffer, Roy DeBord! After earning 2nd place in 2019, he won this year’s title by a landslide with his “DeBord’s Special Chili,” an improvisational mixture that features a variety of spices to give it a layered, complex, and delicious flavor.
