When we go through our archives, we find all sorts of things that take us way back. This banner is one of those. One year, JSA hosted the NC Insurance Women’s group in Boone at Shadrack’s – an all-you-can-eat buffet with barbecue, and other Southern foods, that was hugely popular in the high country in the 80s. We had a little bit of music  (was the band “Dixie Dawn?”), we had little bit of dancing, and we had an awful lot of fun. Shadrack’s is no longer with us, but the good times will not be forgotten.
